Hi, I’m JP 👋
I’m an Information & Communication Systems engineering student with a focus on cybersecurity, and the creator of CyberFriday. Last year, I landed my first role in cyber security, and since then I’ve been focused on one thing: getting better every day.
CyberFriday is where I document that process — the labs I complete, the challenges I work through, the tools I experiment with, and the lessons I learn along the way.
I learn best by doing. Whether it’s a CTF, a hands-on lab, or building a small project, I break things down step by step and turn the experience into structured writeups — not just the solution, but the thinking behind it.
As of today, I’m CompTIA Security+ and TryHackMe SEC1 certified. I’m early in my career and continuously working toward new certifications, learning on the job, and refining my skills outside of work. Everything I learn gets documented here.
CyberFriday isn’t about pretending to know everything. It’s about building real skill over time — and documenting the climb.
Current Focus
- Publishing structured writeups from labs and real-world challenges
- Expanding into more advanced concepts across offensive and defensive security
- Building small tools and side projects to sharpen practical skills
- Preparing for upcoming certifications and documenting the process
